Trains that once operated at the Kaohsiung Port Station have returned to the park one by one, serving as a prelude to Kaohsiung’s limited-time Coastal Line train revival project. Since last year, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has been conducting a large-scale nationwide search for trains—spending over half a year making calls to railway-related organizations across Taiwan. Eventually, trains were brought back from locations such as the Preparatory Office of the National Railway Museum, the TRA Longjing decommissioned train yard, and the Chaozhou Depot in Pingtung.

The "brake car" is a special carriage equipped with a brake system that controls the entire train. It features a small compartment for the conductor, providing space for work and rest during operations. The "open wagon" is a freight car without a roof, used to transport goods that do not require sealing, are not sensitive to moisture, and are non-flammable. It was once one of the most commonly used types of freight cars in the Taiwan Railways fleet.
